Mary and I had a great time celebrating an early Christmas with our niña’s in Sonoyta, Sonora, Mexico. They each got a toy, an article of clothing and a stocking stuffed with goodies. The full stocking was a surprise to their culture since this is just normally a wall decoration. They also loved the hats, an idea that Mary had. Dale and Kathy Russom, cousins in Little Rock contributed towards the gifts – Dale has visited the orphanage on a Mexico house building trip with me and really enjoyed Said, the smallest niña. My special buddy is Sergio – the two year old. He is usually around during the day when I am working there while the others are in school so we are getting close. Every time we arrive, all of the kids give me a hug – proof that every gift you give will be returned 10 fold.
